We had some friends over for the weekend and they have a 4 months old and recommended this product. We already have the Fischer Price Papsan Swing, but were thinking we needed something similar so we wouldn't have to keep carrying it up and down the stairs depending on where we were hanging out. When I found out that it is compatible with the Graco Infant Car seats, so that, when you come from the car and the baby is sleeping and you don't want to wake him, you can just continue the motion right there---I JUST HAD TO TRY IT!
Since this is an expensive item, I found one very lightly used, got it home, and instantly tried it out. The Graco carset just snapped right in, but I think any of the infant carriers would also fit. Since G likes the side to side motion, I set it for that setting and then pushed the button and found the 'rain' sounds. He sorta looked around in it for about 5 min, and then fell asleep.
Another plus is that it comes apart into three parts so I easily fit it into my 4 door accord. I think I will take it up to my mother's house this weekend so we have something there. The good thing is, I'll only have to take the base, since the carseat can be used for the sleeping place.
I would definitely recommend this for parents of infants who love motion.
